The School Board provides leadership and strategic directions as they deal with policies and procedures in Bainbridge Island School District.
There are five School Board Director Districts on Bainbridge Island. Board Directors are elected from those areas. Current School Board Directors include:
- Board Director District 2
- Elected in November 2009
- Served as Governmental Affairs Director/Legal Counsel for Seattle-King County Association of Realtors
- Founding member of Harrison, Benis & Spence LLP, a Seattle law firm, and licensed real estate law instructor
- Invited to consult and participate in land use regulations in Shanghai, PRC, and in a land reform project in former Soviet Republic of Moldova
- Has two children attending BISD schools

- Elected in 2005 and for a 2nd term in November 2009
- Demonstrated commitment to BISD as an elementary classroom volunteer and creator of enrichment programs, intermediate school site council member, and as a participant on the Gifted and Highly Capable and Report Card Committees.
- Served as a school district Key Communicator
- Has a son who graduated from BISD
- Board Director District 1
- Elected in November 2007; elected for second term November 2011
- Participated in BI school activities for a number of years, i.e. classroom volunteer, district Facilities Master Plan (2005)
- 35 years in full-time careers as a teacher, a physical therapist, and a senior manager in health care business planning
- Maintains insight into day-to-day school activities and challenges with two grandsons attending district schools and step-daughter teaching in district
Board Director Term Ends: 2015
- Board Director District 4
- Appointed by the Board of Directors to the position of School Board Director District 4 on September 9, 2010. Elected in November 2011.
- Participated as a member of the BISD District Budget Advisory Committee
- Held leadership positions at a high-tech materials company and has over fifteen years of management consulting experience
- Has two children attending BISD schools

- Volunteers in classroom, and in PTO and PTOCC leadership capacities
- Served on district Professional Development Committee
