A Note from our PE Teacher

Dear Ordway Families,

We're off to a great start to the 24-25 school year! We're working together to promote kindness and inclusion both in class and throughout our school community. It's such a joy to see students reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.

While the weather is still good, we're spending as much time outside as we can, focusing on developing our throwing, catching, and kicking skills. This gives students who already possess these skills a chance to practice, but more importantly, it allows those who are still developing these skills to work at their own pace, without the pressure of competition.

I believe it's important to meet students where they are in their development and encourage them to work towards mastery. We're going to have a fun and rewarding year, and I am so excited to work with our young Ordway Otters!

Sincerely,

Nick Wheeler

book bag
News from the Ordway Library
Each student received a cloth bookbag and painted their name on the bag in art class with Mrs. Rodriquez.

Bags are for transporting library books from Ordway School to home and back. At the end of the school year, I will collect the bags and save them for the following year. 4th graders will get to keep their bags as they move on to Sakai. Please help your child find a special place for the bookbag at home so it does not get lost.
