Thank you Tilz, Bainbridge Gardens, BI Land Trust, and PTO for making this a beautiful space for Ordway students and staff!

Parking Lot Safety

Important reminder from Dr. Dunn regarding CHILDREN’S SAFETY at drop-off/pick-up

Soon Ordway will have new signage that will help clarify our arrival and dismissal safety procedures for parents. In the meantime, if you are driving your child, kindly find a parking spot in the school, pool, or church lots and safely accompany your child in person to and from the front of our school at both arrival and dismissal; or use the drop-off car line at the side door at arrival only.

All Public Parking Regulations pertain to school property - parking along curbs, fire lanes, or perpendicular to parked cars; leaving your car running; or texting while driving are ALL prohibited.

ARRIVAL
  • PLEASE use the drop-off car line procedure at the side door entrance at the south end (pool side) of our school - Dr. Dunn is there to greet you at the side door - Mrs. Dodge and Mrs. Fay are at the front door!
  • There is no drop-off in front of Ordway. PLEASE do not release your child from your car in the front parking lot to walk alone to our front door - MORNING drop-off is ONLY at SIDE DOOR NOT at FRONT DOOR.
  • PLEASE consider that staff, depending on their roles, have differing arrival start times and that STAFF PARKING in the front lot is extremely limited.
  • All of the above is the same if your child is late for school and will enter through the front door only.

DISMISSAL
  • PLEASE do not wait in your car for your child to walk alone to you. PLEASE PARK, LEAVE YOUR CAR, and WALK to meet your child at the FRONT DOOR and walk together back to where you parked your car.
  • PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK CARS ALREADY PARKED - YOU MUST BE IN A LEGAL PARKING SPACE.
  • DO Not park on or next to curb in parking lot, or at the entrance/exit of parking lot. You must be in a legal parking space.
  • PLEASE realize that you are blocking a staff member when you park perpendicular and box them in.

THANK YOU FOR ENSURING OUR ORDWAY OTTERS’ SAFETY!
Please encourage your child to take the bus whenever possible!
