2024-25 Transportation Planning

Are your student’s bus plans changing for 2024-25? For example, if you are moving, please email Transportation@BISD303.org with the update. The Transportation Department is open all summer to update and route your student(s).  The more information we have now, the better we can plan for 2024-25!

Thank you!

As a reminder, except for some afterschool childcare locations, BISD cannot transport students to alternate locations such as Batte Point Park for sports practices or Winslow for ballet lessons. BISD can only transport students to the addresses listed in Skyward/Family Access.

The Transportation Department is responsible for:

  • Transporting students to and from school safely and efficiently
  • Providing transportation for field trips and athletic competition
  • Maintaining and servicing the buses

The goal of Bainbridge Island School District’s Transportation Department is to transport students to our schools safely and efficiently each day. The department also provides transportation for field trips and WIAA sports.

We maintain a fleet of 30 buses of varying sizes with a staff that consists of a transportation supervisor, 1 driver trainer, 1 router, an office professional, 2 mechanics, and 20 regular/substitute drivers. Our buses cover 19 routes, including special education.
