Hearing From Our Students
Twice a year, in the fall and spring, BISD invites students in grades 3–12 to take the Panorama Student Survey. It's a chance for students to tell us, in their own words, how school is going for them.
The questions are aligned with our Strategic Plan. Students at different grade levels take different versions of the survey, with the number of questions and the wording adjusted so each version is age-appropriate.
What the Survey Asks About
Belonging
Do students feel welcome, valued and connected at school?
Engagement
Are students interested in and motivated by what they're learning?
School Climate
How do students experience the overall environment at their school?
Well-Being
How are students doing, and do they have the support they need?
How We Use the Results
Student feedback helps us better understand what school is like for our students. It shows us where students may need more interventions, supports or enrichment, so we can keep strengthening our school communities.
Your Choices as a Family

- Students may skip any question for any reason.
- You can opt your student out of this survey, or any other, by contacting administration at your child's school.
- Annual notice: Your Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA) Annual Notice was included in an earlier school newsletter and is posted on each school's website under Policies and Procedures. It lists all surveys planned for this year at your school.
