Message from the Principal
|
From academic accomplishments to artistic endeavors, athletic triumphs, and the countless instances of kindness and support shown among us, I am continually reminded of the remarkable diversity of talent and energy in our halls. It was wonderful to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of so many of our students this week at our fall recognition assembly.
Thank you ALL for being an integral part of our school family. I look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready to tackle the exciting opportunities that await us in the new year.
Wishing you all a restful winter break,
Kristina Rodgers, BHS Principal

Financial Aid/Scholarship Opportunity for Seniors
|
Parents/Guardians of seniors: Reminder that the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) opened on December 1, 2024. If your student hopes to be considered for need based aid in the Fall of 2025 you (and your student) must complete the FAFSA. Be sure to check the FAFSA submission deadline for each college/university as they do vary. The sooner you complete this process the better.
Seniors: The Asset Building Coalition of Kitsap will be awarding six scholarships of up to $5,000 each for low-to-moderate household income Kitsap County residents. These scholarships are available for the class of 2025. Funds can be used for four-year college/university programs, community college, certification programs, or vocational training programs. Link to this local scholarship is available here.

ROTC & Academy Night ~ February 4, 2025
|
Central Kitsap High School is hosting the Kitsap County Regional ROTC/Academy Night on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors who are interested in pursuing a career in the military as an officer should plan on attending the ROTC/Academy Night presentation Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in the Central Kitsap Performing Arts Center at Central Kitsap High School.
The event runs from 6:15 to 8:30pm with the main presentation from 7:00-7:50pm. There is time before and after the main presentation for talking individually with representatives from each of the military branches and service academies to get your questions answered.
The main presentation will include information about educational and career opportunities, the requirements and process to pursue one of the Service Academies (Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, or Merchant Marine), College ROTC, NCIS, and local military recruiters. If you are considering attending a military service academy or participating in college ROTC, you do not want to miss this event!

The CCS Winter Door Decorating event was a smashing success because of your generous donations! Because of your generosity, every CCS classroom received donuts, candy, craft supplies, and board games. We love contributing to the special spirit of BHS, and we can’t do it without your help!
Wishes for a happy holiday season!
