Great Kindness Challenge - Care Kits
|
We are extending our food drive until February 6th to ensure we gather enough items for our students to assemble a total of 170 Care Kits for Fishline.
These kits will help support individuals in need in our community, and we need your help to make them complete! Each kit will include a protein drink, meat stick, protein bar, one canned food, and a hand warmer.
Unlike last week, where each grade level was responsible for one specific item, this week we are asking families to help fill in the gaps. We are still in need of the following items:
- 50 canned fruit with a pop top
- 50 canned meat with a pop top
- 30 individually wrapped meat sticks
- 70 protein drinks
If you are able to donate any of these items, please send them in with your child by Thursday, February 6th.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated as we work together to make a positive impact on our community! Thank you for your continued support!

On February 11th, students will have fun creating Valentine’s cards and art, and district approved parent volunteers are needed to make it happen! No need for any knowledge other than helping with stickers, decorations and chatting with our awesome students!

Bridge Cleaning - Potential Traffic Delays
|
Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 18, Washington State Department of Transportation crews will begin daytime work on SR 305 Agate Pass Bridge. As our crews care for this key bridge, we once again ask for your help to keep people moving.
This year, cleaning is scheduled to take place each day Tuesday, Feb. 18, through Friday, Feb. 21. Inspections are also set to take place this year and are scheduled Monday, Feb. 24, through Thursday, Feb. 27.
Why daytime work?
Crews work on the bridge from above and below. To get that access, they will use Under Bridge Inspection Trucks (UBITs). The UBIT is a specialized piece of equipment that sits on the bridge and uses a long arm and bucket to extend above and below the deck. These vantage points give our inspectors an up-close look at the steel structure.
For safety reasons, this specialized equipment is only used during daylight hours.
What to expect:
-
Construction Crews: From 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. each work day,
-
Delays: Expect delays of 30 minutes or longer in both directions on SR 305 near the bridge.
-
Alternating Traffic: Flaggers will alternate traffic through the work zone at the bridge.
-
Plan Accordingly: Please prepare for potential delays and leave early if you must cross the bridge to pick-up your child.
