AP Testing

Advanced Placement Testing

AP testing is around the corner, May 5-16th. All AP exams (with the exception of AP Spanish Language and AP Studio Art) are digital. Students must know how to access Bluebook on their BISD device or BYOD (personal device) and know their College Board login credentials to access their exam on test day- NO EXCEPTIONS! Students are highly encouraged to try a test preview in the Bluebook app on their device beforehand to get familiar with the platform.

Senior Families, please set aside some time to review the comprehensive Senior Spring document about what to expect these last few months at Bainbridge High School. This will continue to be updated and sent to families periodically throughout the next few months.

Counseling Reminders to Seniors

It's that time of the year where seniors are hearing back from colleges and figuring out their next steps post high school... So we thought we’d share some important reminders, plus a few resources for navigating this exciting time.

Summer job skills workshop

Summer Employment Workshop

Are you looking for a summer job? Looking to apply for your first job? The Bainbridge Island Chamber is sponsoring a summer employment workshop in the BHS Commons on Saturday 4/19 from 10-12. Designed by local businesses to help prepare teens with the necessary skills for successful employment right in time for local summer hiring. Participants will receive a certificate that can be included in resumes to aid in making them a more competitive applicant. Please register here.

Smarter Balanced Assessments

Smarter Balanced Assessment Dates

Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) will start the week of May 5. All 10th graders (and some 11th graders who will be notified by April) will take the SBA tests. Here is the adjusted bell schedule for that week.

NOTE: AP tests take priority over SBA testing. Students with AP tests will be provided an alternate SBA testing date.

More information will be provided in the coming weeks.

English Department Book Drive

English Department Book Drive

Updated! The English Department received a great deal of support in gathering books for their next two units. THANK YOU! We’ve updated our list in case you’d like to continue supporting our efforts! Please consider purchasing a copy from this list at Eagle Harbor Book Company or via the BHS Amazon Library Wishlist. We are also very happy to take gently used copies of these titles. Send them to the BHS Library for processing.

Online Payment Site

Whether it’s an extracurricular activity, fundraiser, donation, class fee, fine or lunch payment, the online payment site is one place you can make payments conveniently from home.

Payments made by check payable to BISD or cash can be brought to the BHS accounting office for a receipt.

CHECK FOR UNPAID FEES/FINES VIA ONLINE PAYMENT SITE
Login to the online payment site to see if your student has any overdue fees to be paid or materials that need to be returned.

The online payment site will show you if there are any overdue:
Class fees
Sports fees
AP Exam fees
Parking fines
Chromebook damage fines
Extracurricular club fees

The online payment site  lists items that need to be returned to the school and the replacement cost in the event that an item is lost. Return items that you have and only pay for those that have been lost or damaged. Example: Books, sports uniforms, Chromebooks

You can also verify previously made payments by clicking “Reprint Receipts” in the Reports section of the site.

ABC Annual Back to School Check-In

It's ABC Time!

The Annual Back-to-school Check-in (ABC) process is now open. This annual process lets us know that your student(s) are returning to our schools for 2025-26 and allows parents/guardians to review annual information.

The ABCs must be completed* for all students attending BISD schools in 2025-26, including both new and returning students. Access the ABCs by logging into your Family Access account. It should take about 15 minutes (or less!) to complete.

If you need assistance with the ABC process (such as translation, accessing technology, or other questions), please get in touch with [insert your contact information here].
NOT RETURNING? If your current K-11th grade student is not returning to BISD schools next fall, please let [insert your contact information here] know.

*Student class placement/class schedules will not be released in August until the ABCs are completed. But why delay? Go ahead and take care of it today!

Attendance Matters

Attendance Matters!

As the calendar turns to April, we know that many students and families are looking forward to a restful and refreshing spring break starting April 7th!

Despite recent challenges with weather and illness, our teachers, students, and families have remained dedicated to learning and staying engaged. We truly appreciate your continued partnership and commitment to our school community.

We look forward to finishing the school year strong as a learning community. Please continue encouraging your student(s) to attend school every day. If you have any concerns about your child’s attendance due to health or mental health reasons, please contact your student's school counselor or principal.

Every school day is a valuable opportunity for students to learn, grow, and connect with their peers and teachers.
