From the Principal

Dear Blakely Elementary,

As the school year comes to a close, I find myself writing this letter with a mixture of deep gratitude and bittersweet emotion.

Serving as your principal has been one of the greatest honors of my career. Walking the halls, greeting students at morning arrival, celebrating learning, and working alongside an incredible team of educators—these experiences have shaped me both professionally and personally. I have cherished every moment of being part of this extraordinary community.

Thank you for the trust you've placed in me over the years. Thank you for your partnership, your kind words, your collaboration, and—most of all—for sharing your children with us each and every day. Watching them grow, learn, and thrive has been the most rewarding part of this journey.
Please know that I am leaving with a heart full of memories and deep respect for the students, staff, and families who make this such a special place. I will always carry Blakely Elementary with me.

Wishing you all a joyful summer and continued success in the years ahead. Your school is in good hands, and I look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things still to come.
With appreciation and warmest regards,

Reese

ABC

Annual Back-to-school Check-in (ABC)

The Annual Back-to-school Check-in (ABC) process is now open. This annual process lets us know that your student(s) are returning to our schools for 2025-26 and allows parents/guardians to review annual information.

The ABCs must be completed* for all students attending BISD schools in 2025-26, including both new and returning students. Access the ABCs by logging into your Family Access account. It should take about 15 minutes (or less!) to complete.

If you need assistance with the ABC process (such as translation, accessing technology, or other questions), please get in touch with our office.

NOT RETURNING? If your current K-11th grade student is not returning to BISD schools next fall, please let our office know.

*Student class placement/class schedules will not be released in August until the ABCs are completed. But why delay? Go ahead and take care of it today!
