Welcome Back - Playground and Popsicles with Mr. Cameron

Good Morning Bulldog Families, 

My name is Sam Cameron, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Blakely Elementary. While I spent the last three years as the principal of Crownhill Elementary in Bremerton, Blakely has always been home. I attended Blakely in 4th and 5th grade and then eventually taught 4th grade here for 9 years before leaving for Bremerton. I am thrilled to rejoin this incredible community and look forward to working together to support our students. 

I will be sending out a more formal Back to School message in the coming weeks, but to kick off the school year and get to know one another, I’d like to invite you and your children to a casual gathering:

This will be an informal time to come enjoy a popsicle, say hello, and share what makes Blakely special to you and/or your hopes for the school year and beyond. It’s a great opportunity for us to connect and for me to begin learning more about the amazing Blakely community. 

If you are unable to make it, no worries. I will also be at our Back to School Meet and Greet (8/28 from 9-10am), our Open House (9/18 from 5:15-7:30) and at upcoming PTO meetings. More details regarding these events will be shared in the weeks ahead. I also love being out and about during arrival and dismissal once school starts and am always up for a chat then (and of course via email/phone/scheduled appointment).
