Dear COS K-12 Community,

Welcome back to the 2025-26 school year! I hope everyone had a wonderful, and relaxing summer full of adventures and sunshine! I know summer seems to fly by, but I am looking forward to starting our year together and welcoming our new students and families.

Commodore has been busy all summer with the earthquake retrofit and upgrade projects. Of course, we will need every moment before 9/2 to prepare our building for the students, but we have an awesome team!!

I will be updating you all again soon with additional back to school information. Each program will send specific information about upcoming events and family communication. Keep enjoying your summer and if you have any questions, please ask! Our office is open, but campus is not quite ready, and staff will be busy with professional development all of next week. Important Reminders: ABC for all!

The Annual Back-to-school Check-in (ABC) process is now open. This annual process lets us know that your student(s) are returning to our schools for 2025-26 and allows parents/guardians to review annual information.

The ABCs must be completed* for all students attending BISD schools in 2025-26, including both new and returning students. Access the ABCs by logging into your Family Access account. It should take about 15 minutes (or less!) to complete.

If you need assistance with the ABC process (such as translation, accessing technology, or other questions), please get in touch with our COS office manager, aschilf@bisd303.org.

NOT RETURNING? If your current K-11th grade student is not returning to BISD schools next fall, please let Alli know in our COS main office.

Lunch Reminders

If your student will be eating school lunch, please make sure to add funds to their accounts. If you will need any financial assistance, please visit our BISD Food and Nutrition website for information. Please do not hesitate to reach out for support if needed. We make sure our students are supported with snacks and lunch at school. Thank you!

1: Labor Day (BISD Closed)

2: First Day of School; Regular start times for students in grades 1-8; EHHS Orientation (9th graders & new EHHS students) @ 8:45 a.m.; Students in grades 10-12 start their day @ 10:45 a.m.

4: Mosaic Welcome Back Orientation 12-1:30 p.m.

5: First day for Kindergarten students; Odyssey Ice Cream Social @ 2:30 p.m. on playground
