Community Updates

February 1, 2026
feb

Welcome to February!

I hope everyone stayed dry and healthy during January. The month seemed to move a bit slowly...but hooray for the Seahawks!!! It has been a good year for Seattle sport teams, even though my husband is a 49ers/SF Giants lifelong fan!!! We make it work! Go HAWKS!

February is a busy and short month with Odyssey K-8 conferences and mid-winter break. I hope it gives everyone some quality time to reset and prepare for the spring season together at school. The mid point in the year is also a good time to help your students reflect on learning behaviors, what's working for them, what supports do they need, and to set new goals. The 9-12 grades will post this week too. Please communicate with your child's teachers so we can partner with you. We are a collaborative team at COS K-12.

I know the world news is exhausting and overwhelming right now, which can be a lot to process with our children and young adults...but they're watching us and learning from our behaviors. When we lead with love, kindness, compassion, and intelligent discourse, we show our children how to engage in our world.

Thank you all for your support and commitment to COS K-12! If you have any questions, please reach out to me.

Warmly,
Tricia Corsetti, Principal

Commodore Options K-12 Updates

  1. Enrollment for 2026-27: All of our COS K-12 programs have an enrollment process this month. Our Odyssey lottery applications are due 2/12 and it is important to know our class sizes for staffing next year. We will be sending out intent to return surveys this week so we can begin planning for next year! Thank you all and please spread the word about our programs!! Please visit our website for more details.
  2. School Safety Updates: COS staff have new key cards for our exterior doors. There is a new buzzer system installed on our back entrance too. The new gate door will be installed soon which will be locked with our main office buzzer too. Safety is a priority and our old building is a bit tricky with many access points, but the automatic lock system will support all K-12 staff, students, and volunteers. More updates soon. Also, please be aware in the pit parking lot drop off in the morning for student safety and kiddos walking into the building.
  3. School Lunch: If you have any questions about school lunch menus, student accounts or if you need any financial assistance, please visit the BISD FOOD SERVICES link.
  4. Parent Volunteer Process with BISD: Please go to the BISD Parent Volunteer link to complete the process.
  5. We have three active and supportive PTOs in our building. Thank you for your support. PLEASE DONATE AT THIS LINK!
  6. Bainbridge Schools Foundation (BSF) helps to support ALL of our schools by funding intervention, library resources, and BISD budget support. PLEASE DONATE TO SUPPORT OUR SCHOOLS!

Thank you all for supporting our efforts!
