Arrival and Departure Procedures

Please review the following information regarding Ordway's Arrival and Departure procedures:

Main parking lot procedures

Park in the Ordway lot or the church next door.

Children and guardians must use sidewalks and walk zones at all times.

Do not let a child walk unattended from your car through the parking lot to the front door. Use the side door Drop Off Zone if you do not want to get out of your car. (see graphic below)

Some reminders
  • You must park in a parking space.
  • Be respectful and do not block cars that are in parking spaces.
  • Do not park along curbs, entrance or exit of the school parking lot.

Bus riders

  • Children who ride the bus will get off the bus in the bus lane in front of the school and enter the building through the main doors.
  • Children who ride the bus after school will be escorted by their teachers to their bus.

After School Transportation - Please fill out !

We need to know where to sent your child at the end of the day! Please complete this form in preparation for the first days of school. One form for each child.

Bus routes and stops are posted HERE on the BISD website. Please contact transportation directly for questions about a particular stop. Transportation@bisd303.org.
 
WA Kids

Kindergarten WA Kids Conferences Sept 2-4

All BISD Kindergarten students start school Friday, September 5, 2025. 

Washington State mandates that we transition Kindergarten students into their first formal year of school by holding a WaKIDS (Washington Kindergarten Inventory of Developing Skills) conference. WaKIDS Family Connections Conferences.

Conferences are held on Sept 2, 3, 4, 2025

Sign up for a Family Connection Conference from your Skyward account 

  1. Click on Conferences (left hand side drill down)
  2. Choose the child’s name in the tab under Ordway Elementary School
  3. Click on All conferences to choose a time
